About The Position

The Facilities Associate ensures the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of Citizen Church’s Albuquerque campuses by overseeing daily maintenance and facility upkeep. This role manages inspections of the building and supports event setup needs, all while fostering a welcoming and orderly environment. With a servant-hearted mindset, and attention to detail, the Facilities Associate reflects the excellence and mission of Citizen Church in every space we steward.

Requirements

  • Must exhibit God-centeredness with emphasis on the Fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control)
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or a related trade
  • Ability to perform daily upkeep and routine inspections to ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and fully operational
  • Experience handling general building repairs, including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall work
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair facility-related issues in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and the ability to identify potential issues before they escalate
  • Familiarity with building systems such as HVAC, lighting, doors, locks, and safety equipment
  • Ability to respond to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact on operations
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively
  • Understanding of workplace safety standards and compliance with local building codes and regulations
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as required for maintenance tasks
  • Professional, confident demeanor with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Handles confidential information with integrity and discretion
  • Detail-oriented with editing and proofreading skills; creative and quick to learn new software, including Planning Center and Basecamp
  • Willingness to work evenings or weekends as needed
  • Ability and willingness to travel back and forth from local campuses
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the general upkeep and maintenance of the campus facilities
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and document needed repairs or improvements
  • Communicate with manager regarding task status
  • Support event setups and takedowns
  • Ensure facilities comply with Citizen safety and cleanliness standards
  • Respond to urgent facilities needs or issues promptly, during and after scheduled hours
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned
