Facilities Assistant I is accountable for providing janitorial type services such as cleaning bathrooms, breakrooms, conference rooms, and kitchen areas; restocks supplies as needed. Ensures buildings are maintained in a clean and orderly condition by cleaning bathrooms, breakrooms, conference rooms, offices, and other areas; emptying trash and replacing trash can liners; sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning other surfaces. Restocks supplies in bathroom, break areas, etc.; maintains janitorial closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner. Performs proper labeling, dilution, and use of all chemicals. Maintain clean and safe grounds in an efficient manner at a dedicated location by following proper procedures to ensure that company and safety regulations are met. May work at other locations as needed. Completes additional duties and projects as directed by Supervisor/Manager or senior technicians. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the international Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
