About The Position

The Laboratory and Facilities Support Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of teaching and research labs across multiple RIT facilities, including the Center for Bioscience Education and Technology (CBT), the Clinical Health Sciences Center (CHSC), Institute Hall (INS), and Booth (BOO). This hands-on position directly supports faculty and students by managing laboratory preparation, maintaining facilities, and ensuring strict compliance with all safety protocols.

Requirements

Prior Laboratory Experience: Proven experience in a Life Sciences and Chemistry wet-lab environment.
Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of the operation of scientific equipment, such as sterilizers, incubators, and biosafety cabinets.
Safety Expertise: Experience with the handling of biological, medical, and chemical waste, as well as gas cylinders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with faculty, students, and other staff members.
Organizational Skills: excellent time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
