About The Position

MRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide. Job Purpose Help maintain the successful operation of the fabrication shop . Maximize production and create qu ality products for our customers. Adhere to all written procedures and all safety standards. Key Duties & Responsibilities The Role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Individual must be able to perform the essential duties with reasonable accommodation. Fabricate new parts for customers. Perform basic maintenance on machinery. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery. Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) . Complete daily maintenance and repair logs. Load and unload pipe . Palletize products for shipping. Support and Assist VEMC. Maintain and secure work tools. Clean and maintain work area . Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use. Communicate with shop lead for daily workload. Provide on-the-job training to new employees . Perform other duties as assigned. Be available for on-call after-hours service Communicate with sales team on existing and upcoming projects. Perform quality control procedures. Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others. Report workplace hazards, injuries, or illnesses immediately . Requirements

  • High school diploma or a GED (General Education Degree)
  • Vo-Tech Training or equal experience in welding and fabr ication
  • Knowledge in the following areas: assembly, parts, ability to read and understand specifications, quality control, and safety
  • Working knowledge of PVF products and basic welding function with carbon and stainless-steel pipe
  • Experience using one or more of the following tools: horizontal band saw, cutting and threading machine.
  • Ability to set up and operate machinery such as pipe bending machine
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications required by customer
  • Ability to read and understand standard tape measure
  • Overhead crane and sit-down forklift experience preferred.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
  • Must be able to complete fabrication certification after training
