About The Position

This position is for a Fabrication Operator responsible for setting up production equipment, including blades, and performing data entry to manage product flow. The operator will ensure high-quality products by conducting thorough quality checks on slit positions, depth, dimensions, labeling, and packaging. Key responsibilities also include training and directing temporary employees, continuously working to improve set up time, speed, and waste, and strictly adhering to all safety rules and policies while promoting a safe work environment. The role requires assisting other departments as needed and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Some industrial experience.
Works well in a team environment.
Available to work either day or night shift.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience operating corrugated printing equipment.
Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment, with an understanding that temperatures and volumes.

Responsibilities

Set up of Production Equipment including blades.
Data entry in the computer to move product through the system.
Ensure a high-quality product is coming off the machine by conducting quality checks to ensure required slit positions, depth, dimensions, labeling, and packaging.
Train and direct temporary employees when needed.
Work to continuously improve set up time, speed, and waste.
Follow all safety rules and policies, make suggestions to improve safety and look out for fellow employees' safety.
Assist other departments as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
