About The Position

This role is for a Fabrication Operator responsible for assembling doors, frames, and fixed frames based on provided designs, using drills and other tools. Key duties include attaching hardware and lock preparations, maintaining a neat, safe, and clean work area, and inspecting products for abnormalities. The operator is expected to be a results-driven team player with a safety-first mindset, willing to be cross-trained and move to other areas as needed. The position requires regular and predictable attendance and adherence to all safety policies and company rules. Requirements

  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure required
  • Proficiency in operating machinery.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to use power tools.
  • Must be able to lift 50 to 75 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be able to lift up to 150 lbs. with assistance.
  • Must be able to push weights greater than 150lbs with a team.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods.
  • Must have strong hand-eye coordination/Detail Oriented.
  • Must be able to follow instructions from Supervisor, Plant Manager and Ops Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble doors, frame, and fixed frames based on provided designs stock using drills, and other tools.
  • Attaches hardware and lock preparations as appropriate.
  • Keeps work area in a neat, safe, clean, hazard free condition.
  • Cleans work area, tools, and equipment at the end of each day.
  • Inspects products for any abnormalities and notifies supervisor immediately of any issues.
  • Must be willing to be cross-trained and move to other areas when needed.
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Regular and predictable attendance, ability to safely perform tasks.
  • Adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of the job.
  • Follow all company rules and policies.
  • A history of great work attendance.
  • Sense of urgency with the ability to advance in the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
