About The Position

A day in this role You start by walking the floor, confirming everyone is in the right PPE and equipment guards are in place. You open EPICOR, scan the dispatch list, and balance people and machines to hit promised dates. Mid-morning, you help a teammate read a drawing, then jump into a safety committee walkthrough. After lunch, you review part quality, adjust priorities based on equipment availability, and provide completion estimates so downstream teams stay aligned. You wrap up by checking housekeeping standards and capturing efficiency ideas from the crew. Core responsibilities Champion safety: ensure procedures are followed and required safety apparel and equipment are always used. Serve as a rotating member of the shop safety committee, taking part in audits, incident investigations, and corrective or preventive actions. Complete or pursue Wildeck Certified First Responder training within six months of starting this role. Help interpret job specifications and drawings for the team. Use EPICOR dispatch lists to assign and prioritize work; make sure jobs are properly clocked in EPICOR. Verify paperwork is correct and available, and parts are clearly identified; fix issues or escalate to the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager as needed. Review production schedules and dispatch lists to drive on-time delivery and provide completion estimates based on staffing and machine capacity. Identify process, equipment, and workplace improvements to increase efficiency and put team suggestions into action. Inspect parts periodically to ensure quality and adherence to specifications. Maintain a clean, organized department and hold the team to housekeeping standards. Assist in technical training and re-training of team members. Uphold and enforce company policies, procedures, and standards. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED plus five years of related experience and or training, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • Proven technical competence in the area you lead.
  • Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn and operate within an ERP environment.
  • Completion of OSHA 30 training.
  • Demonstrates honesty and integrity, respect for others, and a collaborative, team-first mindset.
