About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance, including Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Project Manager/Leader to drive execution of complex and critical initiatives essential to organizational success, helping to lower the cost of access to space and enable Blue Origin’s vision. You will utilize your project management and engineering skills to organize, plan, execute, and monitor projects/test campaigns according to strict deadlines and high-level program schedules. As a Senior TPM, you will build strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, factoring these relationships into your project management decisions. We are looking for someone to apply technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to innovate, improve current processes, and implement new processes and technologies critical to success. A bias for action and passion for the mission and vision are required. This assignment demands attention to detail, highly developed communication skills, urgent execution, and the ability to work under minimal direction.

Requirements

  • Well-developed project-management skills; organized, focused, with attention to detail and consistent follow-up to ensure results.
  • Excellent attention to details; manages both tactical and strategic-level information.
  • Excellent organizational skills are necessary.
  • Excellent “people skills,” including the ability to influence by persuasion without direct authority.
  • Business savvy, including an understanding of the marketplace, competitors, and technology.
  • Strong communication skills for effective messaging both “up” to executives and “down” to the workforce.
  • Demonstrated domain experience operating within at least one corporate function (Engineering, Business Management, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Configuration Management, preferred).
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preference toward Engineering or Business Disciplines.
  • 10+ years of relevant program management/operational experience.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, data.
  • Ability to balance technical, business, and organizational influences.
  • Demonstrated history of independent work, foreseeing problems, delivering on commitments, and accountability.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in engineering, business, or project management.
  • 6+ years of experience in an operations environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
  • Deliver on strategic business goals with a planned approach, on time and on target.
