About The Position

Analyze and implement kaizen with TPS philosophy. Support kaizen activities to focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Understanding of the manufacturing processes and the support services necessary for associates
• Analytical thinking, judgment and problem-solving skills are required
• Must be creative and innovative
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
• Excellent organization skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and implement projects
• Close mental concentration and attention to detail are required
• Excellent time management
• Ability to sit, stand, bend and lift 30 pounds
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.)

• Fabrication preferred (Construction, Carpentry, Welding, Maintenance, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Design and fabricate jigs, racks, and tooling used in manufacturing for kaizen activities.
• Implement TPS methods and techniques to establish the most efficient processes and procedures.
• Support kaizen activities to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
• Support production operations to ensure on time delivery to the customer.
• Perform functions such as instructions and demonstrating new processes to team members.
• Provide sustained engineering as needed and ensure the safety, quality guidelines and ergonomic principles are observed.
• Develop and maintain TPS 3 standard documents (time studies, yamazumi charts, and work combination tables).
• Utilize TPS documents to rebalance production elements to meet business trends.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
