Thanks for your commitment to Tyson Foods. Management Level: Class 4 Summary of the Purpose and Objective The Auto Bagger operates machinery for continuous and efficient packaging of tortillas. ATTN Team Members: This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner. Description of Primary Duties and Responsibilities Operates the Auto Bagger machine per SOP as defined in the Production Manual, Section 25.0. Prepares for start-up or shut down of equipment. Stops machine to make required adjustments following lockout-tagout policy. Maintains good manufacturing practices and personal hygiene. Keeps department clean and neat. Responsible for following company policies/procedures written or verbal. Performs all other tasks as assigned. Notifies Supervisor and QC of contamination. Must be able to perform the Ilapak Operators Training Checklist (PR25.1.A) job tasks by the end of the 10 working day trial period. Ensure product specifications are met in accordance with customers written specifications. Must adhere to all safety policies and operate equipment in a safe manner. Responsible for monitoring and reporting any wear and tear on equipment. Responsible for controlling the machine speed by anticipating and responding to changes in speed of product flow. Responsible for ensuring product is sealed properly and all seals are tight. Responsible for ensuring printer is working properly and the correct date is being applied. Must know how to change bags, and load bags properly. Must ensure product entering Auto Bagger is neatly stacked and centered. Must be able to adjust Auto Bagger guides to coincide with product when needed. Must ensure product entering Ilapak is neatly stacked and centered. Must be able to perform product changeovers as needed. COMPLETED LOCKOUT/TAGOUT TRAINING REQUIRED.

Requirements

  • Must be able to use a calculator to calculate amount of materials needed, etc.
  • Must be able to write production recordings in the appropriate logs completely and accurately and complete any production documentation.
  • Must be able to read the Auto Bagger Operator’s SOP and job related SOP’s and documentation.
  • Requires 100% flexibility of wrists and hands.
  • Walking, bending, standing and some lifting required.
  • Lifting of up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
  • INTERNAL REQUIREMENTS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION: Openings for this position will be posted for three (3) working days utilizing the Tyson PersTime job-bidding program.
  • Must have been in their current position 90 days to demote or transfer to another shift or line.
  • Must have been in their current position 90 days to promote.
  • No more than four (4) attendance points at the time of job posting, in the last six (6) months.
  • No written warning at the time of job posting within the last six (6) months.
  • No suspensions at the time of job posting within the last six (6) months
