Pratt & Whitney (P & W) Military Engines F135 Fleet Operations is seeking a Field Service Engineer and Site Manager to represent the P & W Team at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, NC. This position operates in a high-visibility and team-oriented environment and will support F-35B/F-35C operational units and Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE).
As an FSE/Site Manager, you will provide planning and support for F-35B/F-35C/F135 operations to include systems, tooling, material, and processes. The FSE/Site Manager will have hands-on interaction with the engine, aircraft, and personnel from the Marine Air Group (MAG) and various squadrons as well as FRCE personnel.
This position of leadership and management at this US Marine Corps location will work closely with P & W Customer Engineering, unit personnel as well as leadership within MAG-14 and FRCE in troubleshooting and resolution of emerging customer issues and maintain flexibility to resolve constantly changing customer priorities.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree is preferred in an engineering or related technical field. Non-technical degrees will be considered if the candidate has all appropriate / related qualifications.
• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in engine/aircraft maintenance, logistics, and logistics support is required. This includes supply chain management and Support Equipment management.
• At least 5 years of managerial, supervisory or leadership experience.
• Must be able to pass a health physical for Shipboard operational support.
• Experience with US Marine Corps Aviation to include shipboard and remote site operations.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required. Candidates that have had a clearance that has recently lapsed (not more than 2 years), may apply for consideration.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Background in ITAR/ITC is desired for this assignment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Experience on the F135 engine and associated programs to include Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS)/OBPHM.
• Strong presentation, communication, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure comprehensive reporting on support activities including aircraft and engine status, flight reports, operational data, engine configuration status and parts consumption.
• Use self-initiative and judgment to identify problems, conduct investigations to determine root cause, and coordinate solutions between P&W Engineering, the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office, and Lockheed Martin. The Site Manager will be responsible for coordinating field issues with the local P&W team, Engineering, and Logistics Program Management.
• Lead a team of P&W professionals on-site to achieve Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) requirements, employee fulfillment and participate in Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) initiatives.
• This role supports both the Air Vehicle Depot and combat-coded Marine Corps Operational Squadrons at the site. Travel for extended periods of time to contested areas to support USMC Operational deployments and detachments will be required. Domestic and international travel in support of Shipboard Operations will also be required as part of the team concept supporting the Operational Units on the base.
• Must have the ability to rotate first and second shift schedules as required to meet customer support and team objectives.
