The P&W Military Engines F135 Sustainment organization is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong communication skills and Maintenance, Overhaul, Repair and Upgrade (MRO&U) experience to help prepare for the seamless Engine Core Upgrade (ECU) retrofit of the F135 fleet. In this role, the manager will collaborate with key stakeholders of the ECU Program, F135 Sustainment and Military Engines Operations to plan and execute for all aspects of field, unit and depot level maintenance and retrofit logistics. An ideal candidate will have significant sustainment experience with exceptional organization and team management skills to support the ECU development contract.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10 years of aerospace, logistics, or maintenance experience or an advanced degree with 7 years of aerospace, logistics, or maintenance experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with the F135 and its global sustainment support and services.
  • 4 or more years of direct experience in propulsion maintenance management and/or operations
  • Project management experience, with proficiency in Agile, JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, MS Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational / time management skills, and self-initiative; and demonstrated ability to lead others, deliver timely results, and effectively interface at all organizational levels
  • Advanced degree in Business and/or Engineering
  • CORE / Lean, business improvement event leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple cross-functional teams to develop and manage IMS project plans, IPT agendas and respective RAILs to deliver ECU sustainment and operations capability at Initial Service Readiness
  • Drive subcontractor (Rolls Royce, Collins, CAT1) sustainment and retrofit readiness of LiftFan, Gearbox modules and components
  • Assess the sustainment Integrated Product Support elements, measure performance and manage risk to ensure seamless ECU retrofit and sustainment support capability
  • Support contract proposals, create Basis of Estimates, support Business Acquisitions and Contracting, and manage actuals spending
  • Collaborate with the F135 Sustainment Affordability and ECU Program teams to support cost analyses and business case assessments
  • Ensure sustainment quality and data integrity improvements are integrated into all ECU readiness plans
