Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military, commercial and industrial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development, including requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, and product software design, verification & validation. We integrate the control and diagnostic system design across other engine system modules and with the air vehicles and provide support throughout the complete engine product life cycle. The Diagnostics, Prognostics and Health Management (DPHM) discipline within CDS is responsible for the development and deployment of cutting-edge data acquisition systems, diagnostics, prognostics, and analytics. This includes Usage Based Lifing (UBL) for P&W engines and components and deploying state of the art development tools & methodologies. Together, these technologies inform and enable Condition Based Maintenance / Inspection (CBM/CBI), yielding operational improvements and increased safety. The CBM SSIPT Lead role for the F135 Engine Core Upgrade (ECU) Program is focused on enabling condition-based LRU replacement, on-condition inspections, and condition-based depot induction from Day 1 of entry into service. The successful candidate will support coordination between the DPHM team and other engine IPTs and maintain efficient communication through regular schedule updates and communications at various levels of program and customer leadership.
