The F117 engine, a derivative of the commercial PW2000, is the sole engine for the C-17 Globemaster—the backbone of the US and 8 international operators’ airlift capability. With nearly 1300 engines in use around the world, supporting both military and humanitarian missions, the F117 engine plays a critical role somewhere in the world every day. The USAF has determined the C-17 will continue in their fleet until at least 2075, long after the PW2000 will be retired from commercial service. Pratt & Whitney manages all technical aspects of the engine and the sustainment for the engine, under contract to the USAF. Under Raytheon Life-Cycle Program Management (RLPM), the Integrated Program Management Team (IPMT) is accountable for all aspects of the program, including safety, quality, delivery, financial performance, and customer satisfaction, to name a few. The F117 Program Integration Manager (PIM) is responsible for the smooth function of the IPMT, ensuring compliance to internal procedures as well as contractual obligations by effectively organizing the activities of the IPMT by integrating among the many functions required to manage the program. This role requires a leader with excellent organizational skills and expertise in fostering collaboration across teams to deliver impactful results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering
  • 10 years experience in program or project management, or
  • An advanced degree with 7 years experience in program or project management
  • Must be a U.S. Person
  • Up to 10% domestic travel may be required in this position

Responsibilities

  • Provide integration of IPMT members to enable effective management of the F117 program
  • Ensure consistent F117 IPMT execution aligned with RLPM and the program’s established operating norms
  • Coordinate and standardize major internal meetings, including RLPM gated reviews, standard work/PMIs, IPMT meetings, and monthly cadence/progress reviews
  • Manage the IPMT meeting agenda, quorum, documentation and communication of decisions, and action item resolution
  • Maintain Program Management Instructions (PMI) to ensure compliance with P&W procedures, contract obligations, and the intent of the IPMT
  • Manage E&D and program budgets for financial allocation and distribution of program requirements (resources, budget and schedule) to functional organizations consistent with budget
  • Coordinate with USAF customer on joint IPMT meetings and any other relevant activities
  • Support the Mobility Program Executive Director and the F117 Program Manager as required on a variety of program management elements
