About The Position

The placement opportunity includes the following departments and positions: Department: Orientation Position: Onboarding Duration: 0.5 month Job Description: You will receive an orientation to the company and the local community which includes learning about our company’s customers, culture, business strategies, etc.; learn about payroll schedules and payroll tax withholding; local training area, housing options, apartment complexes, and transportation options; meet key contacts and other employees; receive computer training on company systems; receive an orientation to the local community including cultural centers, volunteer opportunities, local sporting events, and entertainment venues. Orientation is scheduled for up to one month and takes place concurrently with the first training phase. Department: Food and Beverage Position: Banquet Captain/Supervisor Duration: 3.5 months Job Description: You will learn American standards for organizing large banquet and meeting functions; learn standards for proper table setup, service styles, VIP setups and service; up -selling techniques; communication techniques for resolving customer complaints; customer relations; learn use of point of sale computer system; various room diagrams; interpretation of event orders; communicate with other departments; techniques for leading banquet meetings; learn supervisor duties; gratuity distribution methods; relationship with catering sales department; forecasting, scheduling and staffing techniques; payroll controls; revenue reporting. Department: Food and BeveragePosition: Cafe Supervisor Duration: 4 monthsJob Description: You will take on supervisory responsibilities in the cafe operations. These include: Leading and mentoring junior team members, Overseeing daily floor operations to ensure smooth and efficient service, Supporting onboarding and training of new staff, Delegating tasks to team members based on shift needs, Monitoring staff performance and providing real -time feedback, Ensuring adherence to café policies and standards, and Assisting in problem -solving and conflict resolution to maintain a positive team environment. Department: Food and Beverage Position: Restaurant Supervisor Duration: 4 months Job Description: You will learn American service standards; point -of -sale computer system; coordinate day -to -day operation of restaurant; assist in daily pre -shift meetings; support and assist staff; assist in providing training, coach, and/or mentor employees; learn upselling techniques; side work assignment and control; ordering procedures for supplies; food and beverage cost control strategies; creation of daily, weekly and monthly forecasts; labor cost control; staffing and scheduling procedures; revenue reporting; employee gratuity distribution; payroll procedures and adjustments; opening and closing duties of restaurant manager.

Requirements

  • You are enrolled in a post secondary ministerially recognized academic institution in the hospitality industry OR have a hospitality degree and at least 1 year of recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside of the USA) OR have 5 years recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside the USA)
