About The Position

In this hands-on leadership position, you will help plan, organize, and oversee the PM Front-of-House team, ensuring every dinner service and late-evening guest interaction meets Vermejo’s exceptional standards. Working closely with the F&B Management team, you’ll help drive smooth daily operations, uphold dining room preparation standards, deliver high-touch guest service, and support revenue and profitability goals. You’ll also be trusted to fully manage the restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager, making you an integral part of the property's leadership structure.  

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading or supervising a Front-of-House team in a restaurant, hotel, lodge, or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, support, and motivate staff during fast-paced service periods.
  • Solid organizational abilities, including experience with scheduling, time and attendance, and daily operational coordination.
  • Excellent communication and guest-focused interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging high-end and luxury-level clientele.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote, dynamic work environment while maintaining professionalism and adaptability.
  • Genuine commitment to delivering warm, purpose-driven, detail-oriented hospitality.

Nice To Haves

  • 2–3 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality leadership (Lead Server, Supervisor, Shift Lead, Assistant Manager, etc.).
  • Background in luxury resort dining or high-volume, high-service restaurants.
  • Familiarity with Ted Turner Reserves properties and its conservation-centered mission.
  • Experience with POS systems (Silverware preferred) and basic bar knowledge.
  • Hospitality, Culinary, or Operations-related education or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leading by example with an empowering, encouraging, and high-performance leadership style.
  • Guiding, training, and supporting the Front-of-House team, including performance feedback and discipline when needed.
  • Partnering with the front desk to stay updated on guest details and preferences across all three meal periods.
  • Reviewing daily dining room status sheets and overseeing proper setup for evening service.
  • Actively supporting service teams by running food and beverages, bussing tables, and ensuring guest needs are met promptly.
  • Serving guests directly as needed.
  • Resolving guest concerns professionally and efficiently, ensuring satisfaction and swift follow-up.
  • Confirming all side work is completed and assisting in coordinating offsite events needs before authorizing staff to clock out.
  • Participating in daily 5:30 PM pre-shift meetings.
  • Attending bi-weekly Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings to stay aligned on upcoming events and service expectations.
  • Maintaining composure, professionalism, and sound judgment during high-pressure moments.
  • Demonstrating impeccable attention to detail across all aspects of service.
  • Utilizing basic bar knowledge to assist with drink preparation when needed.
  • Navigating the Silverware POS (or learning quickly) to update menus, floor plans, and other daily components.
  • All other duties as assigned.
