About The Position

Omni Las Colinas Hotel, a AAA Four Diamond property in Irving, Texas, recently completed a $13-million-dollar renovation, offering 401 luxury guest rooms, 96 suites, over 50,000 square feet of event space, and the LRH Restaurant & Bar. It serves as a central hub for leisure travelers, business professionals, and locals, providing waterfront dining, resort-style pool experiences, and curated local events. The hotel emphasizes exceptional service and a supportive, inclusive environment with opportunities for growth, industry-leading training, and a commitment to associate well-being and development. The Rooms Leader-in-Development (LID) program is a 12-month program designed to develop graduates into successful managers in their chosen division. LIDs will spend time working within the operations department and completing learning commitments, which are projects focused on general hotel operations and divisional functions, with provided resources and evaluation criteria.

Requirements

  • Willingness to work 47.5 hours per week with a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends
  • An Associate’s degree or higher is required
  • Willingness to relocate upon completion of the program to ensure timely promotion to a management role
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation with a sincere, helpful, caring, and friendly personality
  • Ability to project enthusiasm, professionalism, and a positive attitude at all times
  • Precise attention to detail, order, and cleanliness
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and an exceptional phone manner
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment within a dynamic work schedule

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or higher preferably in Hospitality Management
  • Previous experience in a hotel or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Assist with supervising the day-to-day operations of the Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Parking Operations.
  • Assist with training, counseling, and coaching all associates according to standard operating procedures, utilizing Omni-based tools with continued focus on exceeding service expectations.
  • Responsible for overseeing public areas as well as guest rooms to ensure they are according to Omni’s cleanliness standards.
  • Enforce all Loss Prevention procedures regarding guest property, safety, and security.
  • Will be responsible for meeting with the Division head weekly, the Director of Human Resources each month and the corporate mentor bi-monthly
  • Other duties will be assigned.
