SUMMARY: The G/L Accounting Clerk is responsible for preparation of the non-gaming journal entries and reconciliations for the month-end close. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepares journal entries and reconciles general ledger for food and beverage related accounts Perform daily reconciliations for food and beverage audits across 60 restaurants, including cash deposits and daily credit card activity Review and resolve discrepancies in daily deposits and cash deposits, reporting discrepancies to the Accounting Manager or Director as necessary Reconcile monthly credit card fees and prepare month end accruals for credit cards Prepare month-end comp journal entries Ensures reconciliations for banking accounts are done monthly and adjusting journal entries are done timely. Any major variances are brought to management's attention immediately. Assists management with departmental P & L requests Prepares daily banking input for cash reporting. Prepares daily credit card balancing. Prepares and reviews daily reporting for accuracy prior to distribution. Could be asked to cover AP and AR if necessary. Performs other duties as assigned. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent. One-year certificate from a college or technical school; or 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience. Food and beverage accounting experience preferred
