For more information, visit https://www.evgo.com . Position Summary: EVgo is seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our team to support our dynamic and growing business environment. Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the Staff Accountant will be supporting various tasks of the GL team. The successful candidate will prioritize efficiency and accuracy and has a flexible work style.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, CPA is a plus.
• Minimum 1-2 years of accounting work experience.
• Strong Excel skills (logical functions, nested formulas experience is a plus).
• Experience working with an accounting software package (NetSuite proficiency is a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Deadline-oriented and excellent time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
• Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment, with a sense of responsibility and urgency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organization and with external customers.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of journal entries during month-end close: Amortization schedules for various types of prepaids, including, but not limited to, insurance, warranties and software as a service
• Journal entries for various types of accruals, including, but not limited to, warranty, professional services and other types of accruals.
• Reclassification journal entries to ensure proper allocation to departments and locations.
• Other journal entries in conjunction with the month-end close.
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for the assigned accounts including investigation and resolution of reconciling differences.
• Ensure proper backup documentation is retained for account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Assistance with month-end flux analysis.
• Preparation of schedules for financial statement disclosures.
• Ad hoc reporting and special projects.
• Assistance with audit requests and inquiries from external auditors and other third parties.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies and procedures to support the rapid growth and expansion of the company.
