About The Position
Performance Health is seeking an Extruder Operator to join their team in Akron, OH. In this role, the operator will ensure that quality standards are met throughout the entire production process from raw materials to finished goods. This position involves operating equipment to produce finished goods in various areas including Natural Rubber, TPE, Synthetic, Braiders, CLX, Dental/Framed Dam, HandEx, etc.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Intermediate computer skills required (familiarity with MS Office Products)
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand/stoop/bend
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- AS400 experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Trains and assists in supervision of associates.
- Performs final inspections of products
- Assembly and sub-assembly operations
- Operates various machinery including but not limited to; band saw, rivet machine, water jets, presses, grinders, molders, splint formers, perforators, buffers, coaters, extruders, buoy manufacturing, etc.
- Quality assurance of products, material maintenance and material handling
- Monitors, controls, and trouble shoots machines
- Picks and packs products and fills orders as needed
- Operates Lift truck
- Performs other duties as assigned
