About The Position

Overview Explore the breadth of Extension work while making a meaningful impact in Piute County. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting programs in 4-H youth development, agriculture and natural resources, and home and community education. Interns are expected to gain a well-rounded understanding of how research-based education supports individuals, families, and local systems. You’ll be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team that values learning, service, and community connection. Each day brings variety, with opportunities to work in classrooms, community settings, and outdoor environments. Flexible scheduling may be available depending on program needs. This is an excellent opportunity for students who want to explore multiple career pathways within Extension while building practical skills and professional confidence.

Requirements

  • Be an undergraduate student
  • Have an interest in the Extension program
  • Be dependable
  • This internship requires regular in-person/on-site work in Junction, Utah (approximately 4 hours south of the Logan campus). Are you willing and able to fulfill this requirement?

Responsibilities

  • Program & Event Support Assist with Home & Community, Agriculture & Natural Resources, and 4-H programming
  • Support summer camps and state 4-H events
  • Community Outreach & Partnerships Help coordinate efforts across the Extension office
  • Professional Development & Other Duties Provide general program and event support, including chaperoning state 4-H activities
