About The Position

Make a positive impact by supporting programs that strengthen both youth and families. This internship focuses on 4-H youth development and home and community education, offering hands-on experience in areas such as leadership development, nutrition, wellness, and family life. Interns will help deliver programs, develop educational materials, and engage with participants of all ages. Our team fosters a welcoming and encouraging environment where interns are supported in learning and trying new things. You’ll gain experience working in both youth and community settings, with opportunities to collaborate, lead activities, and build professional skills. Flexible scheduling may be available depending on program needs. This is an ideal opportunity for students interested in Extension, community education, community health, or family and consumer sciences.

Requirements

  • Have an interest in the Extension program

Responsibilities

  • Complete required onboarding, including youth programming safety/professional development trainings.
  • Support daily program operations by assisting with coordination, logistics, and facilitation of extension adult and youth activities.
  • Contribute to program outreach efforts, with an emphasis on identifying and engaging youth, adults, and volunteers in Morgan County.
  • Apply critical thinking to program delivery, offering ideas to improve accessibility, participation, and overall impact.
  • Assist in evaluating and communicating program outcomes by helping collect data and share impact stories with stakeholders.
