About The Position
Overview Support programs that strengthen agriculture, horticulture, natural resources, and forestry across Utah. This internship provides hands-on experience assisting with research-based education and outreach, connecting university knowledge with real-world applications for producers, land managers, and communities. Interns will gain exposure to fieldwork, program delivery, and problem-solving in diverse agricultural and natural resource settings. You’ll join a team that values practical learning, stewardship, and strong community relationships. Responsibilities
- Assist with applied research and demonstration projects, including data collection, entry, and basic analysis.
- Support Extension outreach by participating in producer visits and assisting with program delivery.
- Attend and assist with Extension meetings, workshops, and educational events relevant to agriculture and natural resources.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of youth programming, including 4-H camps, day camps, and related activities.
- Provide support for the Garfield County Fair, including pre-event preparation and on-site coordination during the event.
- Assist in the preparation of Extension materials, including fact sheets, reports, and other scholarly publications.
