About The Position

Supervisors in Entertainment work to help create memories through entertainment experiences that will last a lifetime for our guests. This position will show professionalism and self-motivation as well as leading a team and delegating tasks. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to frequently move about outdoors
  • Ability to frequently ascend/descend stairs
  • Ability to detect sound levels
  • Ability to tolerate extreme weather conditions.
  • Flexible availability, with the ability to work up to 40 hours per week during daily operation.
  • Working knowledge of departmental and park policies
  • Ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Comfortable being around people, especially small children
  • Ability to lead and set a positive example for all team members.
  • Ability to work alongside team members to ensure quality of performance.
  • Comfortable communicating with guests, especially small children
  • Effective decision making through organization and planning.
  • Attention to detail and punctuality.
  • Ability to maintain a high standard of safety, guest service, and cleanliness, and hold all team members accountable to this standard.
  • Ability to identify problems and devise solutions in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Keep all team members on task
  • Ensure all positions are staffed as necessary for attendance
  • Promote a positive and efficient work environment
  • Complete or delegate all opening and closing tasks
  • Daily coaching to ensure team follows standard operating procedures.
  • Daily preparation and upkeep of all operational supplies needed to complete pre-opening procedures (i.e. keys, water coolers, cleaning supplies, tablets, radios etc.)
  • Maintain departmental equipment in proper working condition (i.e., clipboards, audio equipment, radios, etc.).
  • Provide support and assistance to Entertainment management as needed
  • Conduct breaks per park policy and Kentucky law
  • Identify departmental issues to be addressed by department management
  • Coach team members relative to guest satisfaction by encouraging efficiency and positive guest interaction.
  • Collect and store all operational supplies at closing (e.g., keys, tablets, radios etc.)
  • Ensure assigned areas are clean and ready for operation.
  • Maintain uniform standards and carry necessary equipment at all times.
  • Conduct or assist in disciplinary and corrective action, as approved by Entertainment manager.
  • Address and resolve team member and guest concerns.
  • Understand and follow all Entertainment departmental SOPs
  • Assist team members with any questions or guest concerns that they encounter.
  • Make appropriate determinations for show cancellations with guidance from Senior Supervisor and Entertainment Manager.
