About The Position

Woburn Public Schools Extended School Year Paraprofessional DEFINITION: The Extended Year Program paraprofessional is an employee member of the school staff designated by the Superintendent of Schools. The purpose of this position is to assist the Director of Student Services and Coordinators in all duties necessary for the proper and efficient operation of the Woburn Public Schools Extended School Year Program. Under the supervision of the Director of Student Services, the paraprofessional will provide instructional support in the district extended school year program. The paraprofessional will work under the direction of the Extended School Year classroom teacher.

Requirements

• One-year special education experience

Responsibilities

• Attend an orientation meeting prior to the start of ESY in June 2026
• Review assigned classroom roster prior to the start of ESY
• Review folders for each ESY student include IEP, Progress Reports, Behavior Plans, and Work Samples Prior to the start of ESY.
• Provide educational support individualized to the needs of each student under the direction of Special Education Teacher or Related Service Provider
• Implement behavior plans and collect data as directed by the Special Education Teacher or Related Service Provider
• Provide support with activities of daily living as necessary
• Assist with compilation of data and preparation of ESY progress reports due on July 30, 2026
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools, Assistant Superintendents and/or the Director of Student Services
