About The Position

Immaculate Heart of Mary School, located in Towson, Maryland, is seeking a qualified candidate for a part‑time Extended Care Director position. The Extended Day Care Director should have management experience and experience working with young children. In addition, he/she would be responsible for the direct supervision of students within the program as well as the staff. This is a 10‑month role, and the hours are 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field preferred.
MSDE childcare credentialing or willingness to obtain.
First Aid and CPR certified.
Excellent references.

Responsibilities

Supervise the daily operations of the Extended Care Program.
Supervise aides in planning appropriate social, physical, and creative activities for the students.
Provide a safe and clean environment for the students.
Record daily student attendance.
Work with the Business Office on monthly billing.
Communicate daily with Extended Care Program parents regarding concerns or issues, schedule changes, and general administrative matters.
Supervision of day care staff members.
Communicate all significant concerns and issues to the school administration.
Comply with all regulations of the State Letter of Compliance.
Complete all paperwork required to update and maintain the State Letter of Compliance.
Participate in the hiring of extended care staff
Create and maintain a weekly work schedule for staff members
Create and maintain a daily schedule for staff to implement with students
Reports directly to the administration
