Under the general supervision of the Executive Director of the Career Center, or designee, the Experiential Learning Analyst serves as a key member of the Student Employment and Academic Internship Administration Team, providing advanced project management, compliance oversight, and operational leadership in alignment with CSU, campus, and divisional strategic goals. The Analyst ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of complex student employment and academic internship processes that impact institutional risk, HR accountability, and student access to experiential learning. Core responsibilities include evaluating student position descriptions for classification and collective bargaining compliance; determining background check requirements; reviewing I-9 documentation and employment eligibility; conducting enrollment audits for payroll and tax alignment; assessing internship site risk and insurance coverage; facilitating student liability insurance; and supporting agreement negotiations with off-campus employers. The Analyst evaluates policies and procedures, identifies efficiencies, and develops solutions where guidelines are insufficient. The role sustains operational infrastructure, provides lead work direction to staff, and supports critical processes to ensure timely, accurate, and seamless service delivery. As the primary campus contact for student employment and internship administration, the Analyst ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality experiential learning opportunities that strengthen the university's operational capacity and advance long-term student success and career outcomes.
