About The Position

The College of Business and Technology (CB&T) seeks an entrepreneurial, student-centered leader for its inaugural Director of Experiential Learning. This collaborative position involves creating, facilitating, and assessing high-impact learning and professional development activities for CB&T students in partnership with alumni, local organizations, industry partners, and internal stakeholders including the Center for Career Development. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in strengthening alumni and employer relations while supporting students’ professional development as prioritized in the college’s strategic plan, societal impact initiatives, and AACSB accreditation review. This position supports fulfillment of CB&T’s mission to form innovative leaders who positively impact society through their professional excellence, personal development, and commitment to the greater good. This position is grant funded for three years, continuation of the position will be based on program performance. The Director of Experiential Learning operationalizes experiential learning across academic and co‑curricular programming in CB&T by working with faculty and campus partners to design, promote, and implement applied learning initiatives. The Director coordinates organizational partnerships, including live cases, consulting projects, and internships, and oversees the engagement of volunteer Executives‑in‑Residence. Responsibilities also include supporting program delivery, managing budgets and data, and monitoring participation and outcomes to inform assessment and continuous improvement. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in business development, employer relations, corporate partnership management, university relations, event management, student services, or related field
  • Experience building relationships with external partners, advisory boards, or professional associations in business or technology workforce settings
  • Familiarity with labor market trends and emerging career pathways in business, technology, and digital innovation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and industry partners
  • Proficiency in technology tools for managing data, project management, and communications
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team professionally and confidentially

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in business, education, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of related experience is preferred.
