Requirements

Minimum 1+ year of hands-on experience as an HVAC Service Technician (residential experience); 2–5+ years preferred for top earning potential
EPA Universal Certification (required)
Must have standard HVAC service tools (gauges, meters, hand tools) or willingness to acquire them quickly
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills (able to identify and resolve issues efficiently without guesswork)
Ability to complete repairs correctly the first time with minimal callbacks
Professional communication skills with the ability to clearly explain issues, solutions, and pricing to homeowners
Customer-focused mindset with a reputation for quality service
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

Diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems (heat pumps, furnaces, AC units)
Perform preventative maintenance and system optimization
Educate homeowners on system performance, options, and solutions
Maintain accurate service records, inventory, and documentation
Uphold safety standards and deliver high-quality workmanship on every job
