Requirements

  • Minimum 1+ year of hands-on experience as an HVAC Service Technician (residential experience); 2–5+ years preferred for top earning potential
  • EPA Universal Certification (required)
  • Must have standard HVAC service tools (gauges, meters, hand tools) or willingness to acquire them quickly
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills (able to identify and resolve issues efficiently without guesswork)
  • Ability to complete repairs correctly the first time with minimal callbacks
  • Professional communication skills with the ability to clearly explain issues, solutions, and pricing to homeowners
  • Customer-focused mindset with a reputation for quality service
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems (heat pumps, furnaces, AC units)
  • Perform preventative maintenance and system optimization
  • Educate homeowners on system performance, options, and solutions
  • Maintain accurate service records, inventory, and documentation
  • Uphold safety standards and deliver high-quality workmanship on every job
