About The Position

Sterling Pointe Veterinary Clinic is hiring an energetic, team-oriented, experienced, or licensed Veterinary Technician to join their dedicated staff. The clinic, which includes SPV Urgent Care, works to establish and uphold the highest standards of patient care, believing that caring for patients begins with caring for each other. This full-time position involves four 10-hour shifts, Thursday through Sunday, with a mix of General Practice and Urgent Care. The role is critical to the medical team, ensuring compassionate, high-quality care for every patient. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled support during exams, surgeries, dental procedures, and emergency care.
  • Administer and monitor anesthesia and sedation under DVM direction.
  • Perform dental cleanings, radiographs, and assist with extractions.
  • Collect and process diagnostic samples (blood, urine, fecal, cytology, etc.).
  • Manage inpatient care, including IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and medication administration.
  • Educate clients about treatments, medications, and home care.
  • Maintain surgical suites, medical equipment, and hospital inventory.
  • Mentor veterinary assistants and newer technicians, sharing your skills and experience.
  • Support the front desk as needed to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Communicate with warmth, clarity, and confidence.
  • Embrace the occasional “cat rodeo” with safe, skilled handling.
  • Celebrate the moments that matter — birthdays, babies, anniversaries.
