Requirements

Work a regular schedule consisting of occasional nights and every other Saturday

Nice To Haves

CVT licensure is preferred, but not required, with the right amount of experience.

Responsibilities

Appointment intake and assisting veterinarians with exams
Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
Knowledge of standard and fear-free restraint of dogs and cats
Performing in-house laboratory tests (ELISA tests, CBC/Chemistries, urinalysis, blood smear preparation and interpretation, cytology preparation and interpretation)
Outpatient procedures such as administration of subcutaneous fluids, administration and understanding of various injectable and oral medications, anal gland expression, nail trims, and performing radiographs
Knowledge of and ability to administer vaccines
Communicating with clients about patient care and home instructions
Using an electronic medical record program (AVImark) to input charges, fill prescriptions, and document patient assessments accordingly
Acting as a phone liaison between veterinarians and clients to answer medical questions, provide lab results, and help schedule surgeries.
