About The Position

The Pulmonary Rehab Exercise Physiologist performs pulmonary rehabilitation functions to facilitate patient pulmonary fitness. Participates in process of assisting the patient with pulmonary risk factor reduction. This is a per-diem position.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education - Preferred Baccalaureate or higher degree in physical therapy, exercise science, or equivalent preferred.
  • Classes/Skills - BLS - Basic Life Support
  • Knowledge and experience in techniques of Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
  • Knowledge in exercise physiology, exercise testing, exercise prescription, group leadership, and monitoring techniques.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)
  • INSTRUCTOR- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)

Responsibilities

  • Admission and Evaluation Conducts Intake Evaluations on a weekly basis as assigned to meet patient needs in accordance with the established standards of care and practice.
  • Treatment Conducts exercise program with assigned patients according to established treatment plan in accordance with established standards of care and practice.
  • Documentation Completes all documentation of services per department standards
  • Discharge Demonstrates timely discharge from treatment with appropriate documentation
  • Billing Enters daily charges in a timely and accurate manner
  • Productivity Demonstrates behaviors supportive of departmental standards for productivity
  • Embraces technological solutions to work processes and practices
