About The Position

ECU Health Medical Center, one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina, is the 974-bed flagship hospital for ECU Health and serves as the primary teaching hospital for The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. ECU Health Medical Center has achieved Magnet designation twice and provides acute and intermediate care, rehabilitation and outpatient health services to a 29-county region that is home to more than 1.4 million people. Position Summary Plan, implement, supervise, and monitor exercise prescription and progression in groups and one on one. Educate, motivate, monitor and assist customers/patients to assure safety and a positive experience. Cultivate a customer/patient and family centered approach by including goals and wishes of the participant/patient in the exercise programming/prescription. May serve as team leader for specialty program of expertise. This position is based in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Requirements

• Masters degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or an equivalent field is required.
• 0 to 3 years of experience required.
• ACSM certification required.
• Achievement of the Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) certification is something the candidate must achieve within 6 months of hire.
• Current BLS certification.
