About The Position

The company is experiencing strong growth and expansion, driven by a combination of organic initiatives and strategic acquisitions across the healthcare communications landscape. The Executive Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and M&A will play a critical leadership role in shaping and advancing the organization's long-term strategic direction. Reporting directly to the President and COO, this executive will lead enterprise-wide strategy development and oversee the full M&A lifecycle—from opportunity identification through due diligence, deal execution, and post-merger integration. This role will serve as a key thought partner to the COO and executive team, translating strategic priorities into actionable initiatives and ensuring alignment across business units. The position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, evolving organization backed by a leading private equity sponsor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in corporate strategy, M&A, or strategic finance.
  • Proven success executing mergers, acquisitions, and integrations within a high-growth or private equity-backed environment.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical capability, with deep experience in valuation, modeling, and deal structuring.
  • Exceptional ability to influence, collaborate, and communicate across executive and investor audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the COO on business planning, market positioning, and long-term growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders, investors, and external partners to develop and execute strategic plans that drive sustainable expansion.
  • Lead and prioritize a portfolio of enterprise-wide initiatives, ensuring focus on high-impact, high-value activities.
  • Prepare board-level materials and executive presentations that communicate strategic progress, investment opportunities, and performance outcomes.
  • Lead the end-to-end M&A process, including sourcing, valuation, diligence, deal negotiation, and post-close integration.
  • Develop a disciplined, data-driven approach to evaluating and prioritizing acquisition opportunities aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Build and maintain a robust acquisition pipeline through proactive networking, industry relationships, and partnerships with advisors and intermediaries.
  • Oversee financial modeling, risk assessment, and synergy realization to ensure successful deal outcomes.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for target companies, particularly founder-led or privately held organizations navigating the transaction process.
  • Drive organizational alignment across business units and functional teams to ensure efficient execution of key initiatives.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Legal, and Human Resources to support integration, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Promote collaboration, accountability, and results-driven execution across the executive team.
  • Ensure departmental policies, governance, and performance standards align with corporate expectations and private equity objectives.
