About The Position

BUILT Brands is seeking a strategic and experienced EVP of Food Safety & Quality to lead all food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance initiatives. This role will define and execute the company’s safety and quality strategy, ensuring adherence to regulations, industry best practices, and internal standards while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory experience in the food industry.
  • Executive leadership experience with proven team-building skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (Food Science, Food Safety, Quality Management, or related).
  • Deep knowledge of FDA, USDA, SQF, BRC, HACCP, GMPs, allergen management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead food safety, quality assurance, and compliance strategy across all brands and co-manufacturers.
  • Oversee HACCP, SQF, BRC, FDA, USDA, and other relevant standards.
  • Mentor and manage a high-performance team of food safety and quality professionals.
  • Collaborate with R&D, operations, supply chain, and procurement to ensure product safety and quality from concept to commercialization.
  • Implement continuous improvement programs, risk management initiatives, and preventive controls.
  • Track metrics and reporting to measure compliance and drive operational excellence.
  • Advise the CEO and leadership team on regulatory and quality trends.
  • Represent BUILT Brands in audits, inspections, and industry forums.
