About The Position

Department of Revenue is recruiting for an Executive Support Specialist 1 position. We are looking for talented, detail-oriented individuals to join our Property Tax Division. This position is headquartered in our Salem office; however, the successful candidate may be eligible for in-state hybrid work. Hybrid work consists of performing duties onsite in a standard office environment and working remotely. In order to be considered for Department of Revenue recruitments, you must reside within the state of Oregon. Current Revenue employees who live outside of Oregon may apply and will be considered.

Requirements

  • Three years of clerical/secretarial experience which included: one year at a full performance level performing typing, word processing, or other generating of documents; and lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.
  • Courses or training in Office Occupations or Office Technology may be substituted for up to one year of the clerical/secretarial experience.
  • No substitution will be made for the one year at the full performance level.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a confidential assistant to the administrator of the Property Tax Division.
  • Responsible for maintaining confidential and sensitive division records.
  • Prepare Travel packages-preauthorization requests including out-of-state travel.
  • Make frequent contact with management personnel of other departments, local governments, and with private executives, professional people and other officials to arrange meetings, handle both routine and non-routine matters for the division administrator.
  • Provides administrative support to section managers and unit managers by coordinating special projects in the division.
  • Act as a member of the division’s management team to identify required resources to achieve long and short-range plans.
