The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Executive Secretary. Under general supervision, serves as administrative secretary to the Associate Deputy Director; conducts special projects and studies; gathers data, coordinates, monitors, and completes assigned projects; analyzes and interprets data and prepares reports; makes independent decisions requiring knowledge of rules and interpretations of the Associate Deputy Director’s policies concerning various programs; works directly with the Associate Deputy Director and staff in establishing and maintaining weekly/montly appointment schedules; receives and screens visitors; serves as timekeeper; functions as part of the management team in planning and arranging details for training, meetings and special initiatives; researches and compiles needed information for special studies and reports needed by the Associate Deputy Director and management staff; maintains and sets up a variety of informational, correspondence, and tickler files.
