The Executive Protection Officer will provide armed close protection for university executives, visiting dignitaries, and high-profile guests in accordance with department policies and threat assessments. You will conduct advance site visits, route planning, and logistical coordination of resources in support of protection details, maintain readiness to respond to emergencies, medical incidents, and security threats and prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including operational plans and police case reports. In addition, you will provide transportation services to executives and guests of the university and coordinate with federal, state, and local law enforcement both in Indiana and during travel to ensure cohesive protective operations. Executive Protection Officers are fully sworn law enforcement officers; however, individuals hired for this role are exclusively hired into the Executive Protection Division and are not eligible to transfer into any other non-Executive Protection role within the Purdue University Police Department. This is a separate division within PUPD, with its own staffing structure, operational expectations, and defined career path.
