About The Position

The Executive Driver/Security Specialist is responsible for the safe transport, escort, and security for the Jefferson CEO, distinguished VIP guests, and other senior executives in and around the metropolitan Philadelphia and southern New Jersey area. This position may potentially provide deterrence on an executive level in and out of the Philadelphia corporate office and assist in the protection and safety of the key leaders Additionally, close contact must be maintained with the CEO, senior executives and their respective executive/administrative assistants, and the Chief of Staff regarding business itineraries, travel coordination, special event security coordination, arrival/departure times, and location when in Philadelphia. Interacts with co-workers, distinguished visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. Provide secure mobile escort for the Jefferson CEO, 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week Monitor, assess and ensure the personal safety of the CEO and senior executives while in transport, public events, meetings or other occasions requiring heightened protection. Work directly with the Chief Public Safety Officer, Chief of Staff, EA, and administrative staff in reference to daily tasks and duties regarding the CEO’s transportation requirements, meeting schedule, and other events Maintain highest levels of discretion, ensuring the privacy of clients at all times. Work closely with Jefferson Regional Security teams and senior leaders of the Public Safety Department in the interest of effectively coordinated risk mitigation, safety and security efforts Participate in annual evasive and defensive driving tactics training, including but not limited to completing a “Chauffeuring Skills for Professional Drivers” training course Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of motor vehicles assigned to the CEO and senior executives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Public Safety, Law Enforcement or Executive Chauffeur preferred.
  • Must be knowledgeable of metropolitan Philadelphia, southern New Jersey, the Tri-State area (Pennsylvania, New jersey, Delaware), and local airports
  • Executive protection experiences garnered working with agencies such as the US Secret Service, FBI, Diplomatic Security Service, US Military, State Police, and Mayor’s Executive Protection Details
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Vehicle operator license checks, and criminal background checks will be conducted annually
  • Candidates must be willing to sign a confidentiality statement relating to the confidentiality of sensitive university/hospital information and all information deemed confidential by the General Counsel, Executive Leadership, Clinical and Academic Leadership and Public Safety

Responsibilities

  • Provide secure mobile escort for the Jefferson CEO, 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week
