Responsible for the development, leadership, and marketing of the Equipment Finance Group (“EFG”) business line, including mentorship and championing staff as well as upholding a culture centered around controlled growth, risk management, and regulatory compliance. This position will be charged with developing and servicing a large group of internal and external clients and constituents via the establishment of Bank OZK’s Equipment Finance Group to support the continued growth and diversification of the Bank.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of finance and credit analysis.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of lending activities and terminology.
  • Knowledge of federal and state lending and compliance regulations.
  • Strong ability to exercise discretion and sound judgement in decision-making.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective leadership presence and credibility.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong business acumen and business development skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across functional and organizational groups and build business relationships to achieve the desired objectives of the Bank.
  • Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or business, or commensurate work experience, required
  • Successful completion of a formal credit training program or equivalent work experience, required.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of work experience in EFCS analysis, required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience presenting EFCS opportunities to an investment board or committee, required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of management experience, required.

  • Master’s degree in job-related field, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute strategic and tactical plans to ensure development and growth, business development productivity, and financial targets are achieved.
  • Build successful relationships and develop on-going revenue streams to meet appropriate risk adjusted returns and targeted objectives.
  • Deliver full bank relationships through effective partner engagements and cross-sell within Bank OZK; drive client referrals to the appropriate partnering Lines of Business for maximum client effectiveness.
  • Meet with staff, clients, and financial partners across the Bank to build relationships to target high quality opportunities.
  • Effectively source, recruit, develop, coach, recognize, manage, and retain top talent; effectively utilize and champion junior talent.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to strategically develop lending, monitoring, and compliance policies and procedures to ensure safe and sound practices to properly mitigate balance sheet, credit loss, regulatory, and reputational risks.
  • Set strategies and activities to meet annual goals as well as long-range strategic goals.
  • Engage in a constantly changing lending environment and lead direction of team.
  • Identify and inform leadership of impactful changes and act on all assigned initiatives.
