About The Position

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the housekeeping department at Tamarack Resort. This role ensures that our lodging accommodations maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation, contributing to the overall guest experience. The Executive Housekeeper will lead a team of housekeeping staff, manage inventory and supplies, and collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless operation. Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Executive Housekeeper or similar role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a resort or hotel environment.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and during peak seasons.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality management or related field is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in housekeeping management, with 1+ years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train housekeeping staff, establishing a positive team environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Schedule and manage housekeeping staff shifts to ensure optimal coverage, especially during peak seasons.
  • Maintain an efficient inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring the department is well-stocked and organized.
  • Oversee the laundry operations, ensuring linens and towels meet quality standards.
  • Address guest inquiries and complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure that all guest rooms and common areas are cleaned to the highest levels of standard and are prepared for incoming guests.
  • Collaborate with the front desk and maintenance teams to facilitate special requests or address any maintenance issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the development and management of the housekeeping budget including labor costs, supplies, and inventory management.
  • Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Promote proper use of cleaning chemicals and follow safety procedures to ensure the wellbeing of staff and guests.
