About The Position

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for managing and coordinating Environmental Services staff to ensure facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming for all occupants. This role is accountable for the day-to-day execution of assigned government contracts, including staff supervision, scheduling, payroll coordination, inventory oversight, and customer relationship management. The Executive Housekeeper builds and maintains strong relationships with clients and employees while ensuring contract compliance, service quality, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of Healthcare Environmental Services (HES) experience within the last eight (8) years in a medical facility supporting inpatient, outpatient, and surgical services
  • Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) through AHE or Certified/Registered Environmental Services Executive (C/RESE) through IEHA
  • Five (5) or more years of supervisory or management experience
  • Knowledge of contract administration, personnel practices, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous custodial or janitorial experience
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
  • Ability to operate custodial equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
  • Ability to work with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat and cold
  • Physical stamina to perform active and physically demanding tasks
  • Schedule varies based on contract requirements and operational needs
  • Availability for after-hours or emergency response as required

Responsibilities

  • Manage Environmental Services operations across all assigned government contracts to ensure cleaning standards are met
  • Ensure full compliance with all Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements
  • Create, manage, adjust, and adhere to monthly and annual work schedules
  • Maintain asset logs, equipment records, and inventory controls
  • Build positive rapport with clients and resolve issues within the scope of the contract
  • Plan, organize, and communicate daily operational priorities and client requests
  • Manage financial budgets, labor planning, and cost controls required by each contract
  • Lead, supervise, and support onsite teams across multiple shifts
  • Set employee expectations and provide training, coaching, and performance feedback
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities and employee task completion
  • Collaborate with shift leads to ensure consistent execution of services
  • Manage the proper use, storage, and handling of supplies, chemicals, and equipment
  • Promote and cultivate a strong safety culture and safe work environment
  • Use data to identify operational improvements and optimize service delivery
  • Complete and maintain required daily, weekly, and monthly administrative reporting
  • Identify opportunities for additional or periodic services to support revenue growth
  • Provide after-hours emergency response as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
