About The Position

Wells Fargo Corporate & Investment Banking delivers a comprehensive suite of capital markets, banking, and financial products and services. As a trusted partner to clients, Wells Fargo provides corporate and transactional banking, commercial real estate lending and servicing, investment banking, equity and fixed income solutions including sales, trading, and research capabilities to corporate, commercial real estate, government, and institutional clients across the globe. The Markets division offers solutions for clients to manage their exposure through various derivatives, lending, and cash products across Structured Products Group, Macro, Equities, Municipal Products Group, and Credit Sales & Trading. This role is for an Institutional Commodities Sales Executive Director to join the Commodities team within Corporate & Investment Banking.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of commodities institutional sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Working knowledge of a wide variety of Commodity instruments including Forwards, Swaps, Exchange-Traded Instruments, Options, and Physical

  • Extensive and direct coverage experience of one or more client verticals including Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Banks, and Insurance Companies
  • Outstanding knowledge of Commodities products across all Commodities sub-asset classes and applicability in the context of the aforementioned client base
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Desire and ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners

Responsibilities

  • Provide intraday, daily coverage to Commodities clients including Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Banks, and Insurance Companies
  • Identify, acquire, and grow new relationships within the target market
  • Design and implement client coverage strategies in collaboration with Commodities Sales & Trading and coverage partners such as FIG and GICG
  • Develop concrete client specific plans to increase market share and flow
  • Disseminate the firm’s intellectual content in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Assist in building connectivity between Commodities trading / leadership team and key decision makers at the aforementioned clients
  • Work with internal partners including compliance, legal, and documentation to ensure our approach adapts to the ever-changing market structure and regulatory landscape
