About The Position

Committed to Caring, The Executive Director who may also serve as the Agency Administrator, Alternate Administrator, or Alternate Supervising Nurse, is responsible for the overall clinical, regulatory, administrative, financial, and operational leadership of the assigned home health region. This role assumes full accountability for all personnel, service delivery, and business operations. The Executive Director ensures adherence to all company policies as well as state, federal, accrediting body, and payer regulations. This position promotes clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and operational integrity while embodying the organization’s mission, philosophy, and Core Values. The Executive Director oversees clinical quality through continuous Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities to ensure safe, professional, efficient, and patient-centered care. Participates in the on-call rotation as needed, including during start-up phases of new branches.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state(s) of practice (RN preferred).
  • Equivalent experience in an Executive Director, Administrator, or other high-level healthcare leadership role may be accepted in lieu of RN licensure, when permitted by state and federal regulations.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ in a home health executive or leadership role preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5+) years’ clinical experience or comparable leadership experience in healthcare: home health experience strongly preferred with solid knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance requirements.
  • CPR certified with American Heart Association or American Red Cross if RN.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in budgeting, P&L oversight, billing processes, financial analysis, and data-driven decision making.
  • Strong leadership qualities, including clinical judgment, organizational management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams through effective leadership, coaching, collaboration, and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and maintains effective relationships across all levels of staff and corporate leadership.
  • Exemplifies excellence in both verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to model and embody the company philosophy, mission and core values through actions, deeds and communication.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, auto liability insurance and reliable transportation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for report development, analysis, and presentation.
  • Travel will be required.
