Position Overview The Executive Director, Finance – GPS Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) & Functional Business Partnering is a senior leadership role responsible for leading all FP&A activities supporting Global Product Supply (GPS), with primary accountability for Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Pharmaceutical Development, and Technical Operations. This role owns and drives the GPS financial planning calendar, including Budget, Forecast, Long-Range Planning, and Actuals processes. The Executive Director serves as a strategic finance partner to senior GPS leaders, providing insight, financial discipline, and decision support to enable operational excellence and value creation. This role reports directly to the SVP Finance GPS & sits on her leadership team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership roles supporting manufacturing and supply chain organizations.
  • Deep expertise in FP&A, financial modeling, and strategic business partnership within the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and executive communication skills, with a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success driving transformation and results in complex, global, matrixed organizations.

Responsibilities

  • GPS FP&A Leadership Lead and oversee all FP&A activities for GPS, including manufacturing sites and supply chain operations.
  • Own the end-to-end financial planning cycle for GPS, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and variance analysis.
  • Define, develop, and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and standardized reporting to monitor financial and operational performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement, simplification, and automation of FP&A processes to improve accuracy, timeliness, and insight.
  • Strategic Business Partnership Serve as the primary finance business partner to the SVP Finance GPS.
  • Provide strategic financial insight, scenario modeling, and analytics to support decision-making, investment prioritization, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align financial objectives with operational goals and enterprise priorities.
  • Financial Stewardship, Controls & Compliance Ensure strong financial governance and adherence to corporate policies and internal controls across GPS.
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of financial results, forecasts, and business cases to executive leadership.
  • Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities, providing clear and actionable recommendations to improve performance.
  • Transformation, Analytics & Enablement Lead FP&A transformation initiatives, including advanced analytics, digital enablement, and process harmonization across GPS.
  • Partner with BI&T, Procurement, and Supply Chain to enhance forecasting capabilities and integrated planning.
  • Leverage global capability centers, including Hyderabad, to scale analytics, reporting, and FP&A capabilities.
  • Team Leadership & Talent Development Build, lead, and develop a high-performing GPS FP&A and business partnering organization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Champion talent development, succession planning, and organizational capability building within the FP&A Centre of Excellence.

  • Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
