About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Executive Assistant to the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts. This position supports the Dean through a combination of project management and high level administrative and relationship support functions. The Executive Assistant manages and schedules meetings for a complex calendar, collects and compiles confidential supplemental documents for various meetings, and committees; takes and distributes minutes for multiple meetings and events; serves as the office manager, maintains organization and neatness throughout the common areas in the Dean’s Office; assists the Associate Deans with the collection of data and other various duties as assigned by the Dean; orders and distributes office supplies; supervises student workers; travel arrangements and processes, spend authorizations and expense reports; completes and processes hosting documents; coordinates college-wide activities including major college events, faculty elections, scholarship and award committees, faculty evaluations, merit rankings, 3rd-year reviews, promotion, and tenure reviews; serves as technical administrator, as a back-up search coordinator for searches; assists with employee orientation and training; conducts surveys; and assists with special projects. This role requires a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative support experience which included overseeing administrative office activities, maintaining complex records, and coordinating administrative communication including written and oral information to various managers and work groups; OR One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant IV in Nevada State service which included administrative support duties as described above; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above
