About The Position

GitHub is looking for an experienced Executive Assistant (EA) to support the Chief Technology Officer and a VP, Engineering. This role goes beyond traditional administrative support, serving as a strategic partner for two high profile technical leaders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that demands exceptional judgment, foresight, and adaptability. You’ll manage complex scheduling, coordinate travel and offsites, oversee key projects, and ensure operational efficiency across the organization. This role requires a high level of autonomy, strategic thinking, and influence to ensure the leader’s time and priorities are optimized for impact. This role will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer and partner closely with leaders across the team, as well as the broader organization. You’ll be expected to coordinate all travel arrangements as well as be onsite for specific engagements. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, anticipates needs before they arise, and offers proactive solutions to keep the business moving forward. You’ll make independent decisions, balance competing priorities, and know when to escalate—all while exercising the highest level of discretion and integrity. Success requires strong executive presence, strategic thinking, and a bias for action to optimize the leader’s time and priorities.
