The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for an assigned department. This involves a wide range of duties including handling calls, visitors, and mail, maintaining personnel files and spreadsheets, managing calendars, and scheduling conferences and training rooms. The role requires interaction with public officials, external agencies, executive management, and staff. Key responsibilities also include processing payroll, assisting with department-specific programs and events, and responding to information requests and citizen concerns. The Executive Assistant will also support budget preparation and administration, process accounts payable/receivable, handle tuition reimbursement requests, determine petty cash disbursements, prepare various departmental reports, conduct research, and manage travel and training requests, including expense reconciliation.
