About The Position

As a Senior Executive Service (SES) Level Executive Assistant at JCTM, you will directly contribute to national security missions by enabling high-level decision-making and strategic coordination across the Navy’s Strategic Systems Programs (SSP). As a SES Executive Assistant, you will support senior-level government executives through expert administrative, operational, and project coordination services. You will manage secure communications, coordinate mission-critical engagements, ensure compliance with Navy administrative policy, and prepare correspondence and documentation essential for leadership oversight and execution.

Requirements

  • Active SECRET clearance.
  • Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of administrative experience including:
  • Formatting, processing and records maintenance for all official documents
  • Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Schedule appointments and correspond via email
  • Prior experience supporting SES or executive personnel.
  • Professional and independent judgment and initiative
  • Ability to work independently with confidential executive-level information.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of OPM ECQ competencies and SES selection processes.
  • Expertise in technical writing, structured interviews, and leadership storytelling.
  • Knowledge of Navy and DoD policies, records management, and government correspondence.
  • Prior work with Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) or similar DoD agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Complete mandatory training in DTS, SMARTS, SEAS, Navy Correspondence, and Records Management, and provide certificates of completion.
  • Make complex Defense Travel System (DTS) arrangements aligned with Navy travel policy (SSPINST 4650.13).
  • Maintain compliance with Navy and SSP correspondence standards (SECNAV M-5216.5 CH-1), and manage classified/unclassified document workflows.
  • Design and implement tracking systems for high-priority initiatives to ensure consistent performance and timely delivery.
  • Prepare technical documentation for systems, software, and executive review.
  • Coordinate high-level meetings, VTCs, and events, including agenda development, minute taking, and action item tracking.
  • Manage leadership calendars with authority to prioritize, reschedule, or decline engagements as required.
  • Compose and deliver high-level correspondence and reporting for senior leadership decision-making.
  • Consolidate data and prepare oral and written presentations using diverse technical sources.
  • Provide administrative and operational support including office supply logistics, equipment monitoring, and roster updates.
  • Serve as a liaison across SSP branches, offering strategic recommendations to align goals and initiatives.
  • Process security documentation and serve as an escort for non-cleared personnel, where clearance permits.
