Gen Re currently offers an excellent opportunity for Executive Assistant to work in the North America P&C Operations based in our Stamford office. This is a hybrid role. The position requires to be in the Stamford office 4 days a week. Role Description Technical Skills Maintains superior knowledge and capability in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Concur systems Assists in planning and execution of meetings by organizing and scheduling meetings as directed, including the organizing and assembling of meeting materials and handling other meeting logistics as appropriate Manages travel details and applicable expense capture and reporting Conducts searches for relevant data and reports Manages emails and calendars (MS Outlook) Possesses an understanding and knowledge of Gen Re’s business and corporate structure Results Oriented Demonstrates effective time management and the ability to multi-task Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a sense of urgency Demonstrates a service mindset, willing to undertake small or large tasks to support the team or to complete the request Communication, Negotiate and Influence Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication, presentation and listening skills Encourages and practices frequent and transparent communication Demonstrates an ability to proactively manage potential conflict, internally and externally Practices an open, honest and respectful communication style Demonstrates self-awareness and self-control in achieving objectives Client Focus Displays an understanding of business and service units needs and maintains good external relationships with third parties Teamwork Maintains collaborative relationships with internal associates to facilitate a team-based environment Contributes to a positive and disciplined work environment Accountability and Responsibility Interacts proactively with the business community to ensure effective support of the leadership team Demonstrates active ownership of day-to-day job responsibilities and other assigned tasks Provides back up support to other team members to ensure adequate cover during busy periods or absences Managing Change Seeks feedback and continuously learns and improves own skills Learns from mistakes and adapts future actions Actively promotes and supports change and makes improvement as needed

Requirements

  • 5+ years of administrative support experience
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent grammatical, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a variety of internal and external clients.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new software applications (e.g. web-enabling tools).
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
